Palazzo Dandolo: Where Time Preserves the Legend
Since 1638, the walls of Palazzo Dandolo have breathed Venice's most intimate secrets. This is where the Ridotto was born: for six months a year, during Carnival, this place became a theatre of unbridled passions, gambling, and secret glances hidden behind masks.

A whirlwind of freedom and worldliness that enchanted the world, until on 27 November 1774 the Council of Ten extinguished the lights of the stage, decreeing its closure and casting a melancholy silence over the palazzo. After centuries of transformation and broken dreams — from cinema to a failed casino — in 1947 it was the heart of Arturo Buleghin, a former partisan in love with theatre, that gave a new soul to these spaces, mending the tear with the past.
